Made to celebrate my new CSI:NY ship. Even though I whore Danny out to everyone on the team D/L lovin’ is one of my favorites! I just love how he keeps on calling Lindsay, “Montana”.

You know what bugs me – knowing you discovered something for yourself and then have people accuse you of copying them.
You tell yourself that it doesn’t matter what other people say about you, but FUCKIN’ A.
What is up with that shit?!
Anyway, saw Jarhead with Jake, Pia and Rabang last night. Afterwards we went for dinner at Bobs (Sate Babi for all of us except Jake who was hankering for a “smokey burger”) and then milkshakes at Calea.
I bought a berry/pineapple cheescake to bring home to share with Mum. Twas delish.
*Note to self* Re-cap the first episode of CSI:NY, Blink because 165 images including the intro is not enough. I need more Danny!!!
3 days late I know but well, better late than never. Talked with Terai for about 20 minutes last night. We both agreed that 2006 will be a banner year. She’ll be back in March so hopefully the gang will get together to do something.
On the 30th Pia and I went to Jake’s place for lunch. It was late lunch – we ate around 2.30 because he was still preparing the pasta when we arrived. Bardy joined us and we had fun chit-chatting and eating. Pia and I had brough apple pie from Calea with us. Instead of cream, we were given butterscotch sauce. At first I was wary about having that with apple pie but the combination was delicious.
The purpose of our visit was to watch Children of Dune. Bardy only stayed until 5.00 because he had to go home and get ready for a high school reunion. Watching the DVD was great because we were making all kinds of snarky comments. In one scene, one of the characters was complaining of not being understood and the next moment she was having sex with one of her advisers….so that’s the kind of “understanding” she’s looking for. That became our inside joke for the rest of the movie…definately puts a new spin on the phrase “all you need is some love and understanding” *grin*
New Year’s was relatively quiet. Lots of fireworks and food at my cousin’s place but I left early – around 2 a.m. Feeling dog tired enough to just crash into bed and drift off to sleep. Thank goodness for a late wake up call 😀
In the year 2006 I resolve to: |
I’m trying out Performancing for Firefox and it’s great! I’m using it right now.
I’ve also tried it on LiveJournal and the main caveats are the lack of tags and ability to choose icons.
Peter Jackson is one of few directors who can make you care about a CGI-generated character, and an ape to boot as well!
If you want to know how highly I regard King Kong, for me it is like taking the Indiana Jones trilogy, add in Jurassic Park, along with some romance and multiply that by a gazillion!
King Kong has the best dinosaur action scene EVER! Yep! EVER!
So go and watch it!!
I don’t post here.
I have all these ideas for things that never get off the ground.
*kicks self*
One of my favorite Live Journal reads, Movies in 15 Minutes has got a book out with parodies of Jurassic Park, The Matrix and The Lord of the Rings amongst others.
Congratulations Cleo!
Duncan at BlogHerald posted this news item: “Chinese Bloggers poor, students” about a survey that found that most Chinese bloggers are poor or students. These are individuals “who earn less than RMB2000 ($247 USD)” every month
I’m curious to know about the blogger profile of Pinoys because I earn less than those poor Chinese bloggers but I don’t really think of myself as poor. Hard up sometimes but not poooooooor.
Which reminds me of an article a month or so back when GMA proudly announced that things were looking up as a survey had said less people said they were poor. I remember thinking to myself “more people probably checked the impoverished box versus the poor box”.
It’s a sobering reality when P100 really doesn’t buy you much – I spent almost 3/4 of that on transportation alone a few days back. And for Bacolod living that’s too much!
What about you? Do you fall north or south of these figures or is it the same?
The Business Software Alliance warns schools, internet cafes and other computer-related establishments to be on guard against “unscrupulous persons pretending to be members of the Pilipinas Anti-Piracy Team conducting raids on companies using unlicensed computer software for extortion purposes.”
These people are playing on people’s fears of being caught with pirated software as a large percentage of software use in the Philippines is illegal.
In recent weeks the Anti-Piracy Task Force has been conducting raids on those businesses selling pirated softwares but they are now shifting their focus onto business that use pirated software.
